The foundation for growth and development has been laid in Southwest Louisiana with the groundbreaking for the Southwest Louisiana Entrepreneurial and Economic Development (SEED) Center.

The SWLA Economic Development Alliance, in conjunction with the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury, the City of Lake Charles, and McNeese State University, has been working on this project since before Hurricane Rita.
